Available Positions

  • Rove is on a mission to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) with a better charging experience. We are expanding our footprint across Southern California and we're seeking a Project Manager, EV Charging Infrastructure to join our team.

     APPLY TODAY

The Project Manager will own the full lifecycle of multiple EV charging station deployments, from initial site due diligence through construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations and maintenance. Our projects are primarily urban infill developments in Orange County and Los Angeles, often with a retail component, and each one requires a steady hand coordinating across a wide range of stakeholders.

You will coordinate across cities, landowners, contractors, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), utilities, tenants, and customers, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and projects continue moving forward on schedule. The right candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and relentlessly detail-oriented, with the communication skills to move complex projects forward on schedule and on budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Manage the cradle-to-grave lifecycle of multiple EV charging station projects in parallel, from due diligence and entitlements through design, construction, energization, and long-term O&M.

    • Serve as Rove's primary point of contact with cities, planning departments, landowners, general contractors, subcontractors, AHJs, utilities (SCE, LADWP, SDG&E), tenants, and retail partners.

    • Represent Rove before city councils, planning commissions, and other public bodies as needed to advance entitlements and permitting.

    • Review technical drawings, plan sets, and submittals for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with Rove's standards and lessons learned.

    • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk registers; proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact critical path.

    • Coordinate multi-discipline teams across civil, electrical, structural, and utility workstreams.

    • Track project financials against budget and contribute to financial model inputs and forecasts.

    • Manage vendor and contractor performance, including scope, change orders, invoicing, and close-out.

    • Capture lessons learned and feed them back into Rove's standards and playbooks.

The Construction Manager will serve as the primary day-to-day interface between Rove’s internal team and external contractors, vendors, and equipment providers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict conformance with design intent.

    • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans to verify that field construction aligns with design intent; flag and escalate discrepancies immediately.

    • Negotiate and evaluate change orders, including scope, cost, and schedule impact analysis; provide recommendations to leadership with appropriate supporting documentation.

    • Develop and maintain project schedules, track contractor progress against baseline timelines, identify variances, and drive corrective action when projects fall behind.

    • Support procurement activities including vendor qualification, scope of work review, and purchase order coordination in collaboration with the broader project team.
